Al-Bairaq Brings Grandmother Cinderella to Awladna
As part of the 9th Awladna International Forum for the Arts of People with Disabilities, the Bahraini Al-Bairaq Theatrical Troupe presented the play “Grandmother Cinderella” in Cairo, attended by Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt. Written by Waleed Hassan Basheer and directed by Omar Isa Buheila, the play featured Bahraini actors with disabilities who impressed the audience with their creativity and powerful performance.
The show combined fantasy with a strong humanitarian message, receiving wide praise and warm applause. This marked the troupe’s first international participation after successful appearances in local and Gulf festivals, highlighting Bahrain’s artistic talent and proving that creativity and determination can overcome challenges.
